1960 Land Rover Defender Series 1
The Vehicle:
This was a 1960 Land Rover that came to us in pretty rough shape—originally blue, but it was rusty and tired, needing a full restoration.
The Vision:
The customer wanted to keep the classic Land Rover feel but modernise the interior and make it a more comfortable ride overall. They wanted something special inside, with some modern touches to make driving it more enjoyable.
The Hurdles:
The biggest challenge was the condition of the chassis, which was badly corroded. We had to replace a lot of it with new steel. Plus, we had to fabricate new doors, a bonnet, and get everything else back to its original state while adding those modern upgrades.
The Process:
We started by stripping the vehicle down and repairing the chassis. We made new back and side doors, along with a new bonnet. Inside, we designed a custom dashboard and made seats that matched the look, all professionally trimmed. To top it off, we added power-assisted steering for a smoother driving experience.
The Result:
The end result was a beautiful green Land Rover, fully restored with a modern, custom interior that still kept that classic vibe. The added features made it much more comfortable to drive, and the customer was really happy with how it turned out.
