Project Dura Custom Race Car

The Vehicle:
Project Dura came to us as a CAD design that was intended to fit together seamlessly. However, when we received it, things didn’t quite line up as expected. 

The Vision:
The goal was to create a stunning custom vehicle, complete with a Ferrari Dino fibreglass body and a powerful 2.2L Duratech race engine. The design aimed for a smooth, high-performance build that would stand out on the track.

The Hurdles:
Though the design looked good on paper, we ran into some challenges. The chassis parts didn’t fit as planned, and the suspension components needed a complete redesign to make everything come together perfectly. It was a tough task, but the team was determined to see it through.

The Process:
We adapted the chassis and redesigned the suspension to ensure everything lined up. One of the standout features was the bespoke roll cage, which was handcrafted to fit the Ferrari Dino body beautifully. The car was finished in a bold Marigold yellow and powered by a 2.2L Duratech race engine, giving it the performance and look we were aiming for.

The Result:
Project Dura was completed from start to finish in under six months. It has since gone on to win plenty of races and is still performing strongly, a true testament to the hard work and dedication of the team.
