Our Story & Mission
AML was founded in 2005 by Mike Dowd. Mike’s passion for classic cars started when he was just 14 years old, and after years of working in the industry, he decided to start his own business at the age of 40.
He brought his son, Joshua, on board to train him as an expert welder and fabricator. From day one, the two have worked side by side, and now, they’re joined by Jamie, a 25-year-old mechanical engineering graduate who has been part of the team for eight years.
Together, there’s nothing car-related that they can’t tackle.
